Small amount of sleep but a large amount of breakfast. Valetin, the pastor from Mykolaiv, met up with us to get two ovens, a mixer and Clif Bars. He spends a lot of time visiting the frontlines and distributes Clif Bars. He will add the ovens to the one they already have and triple their capacity to bake bread for cold and hungry people on the frontlines. We received the sad news that a couple of our volunteer drivers were handing out food bags and were targeted with a drone. One is in critical condition the other volunteer is ok. Please keep praying for the safety of the volunteer drivers who are risking their lives daily.
We then delivered another oven and a mixer to a small church in Kropyvnytskyi. The mixer they have is small and when they saw the size of the new one they literally jumped for joy. When I thanked them for their hard work one of the ladies started to cry. I gave her a big hug before we departed for Kryvyi Rih. Stopped in town and enjoyed a cheburbk. Arriving Kyivyi Rih, we visited Tony and Valentina, who were living in Colombus, Ohio and moved back to Ukraine two months ago to help. They bake 250-300 loaves of bread a day. These loaves are distributed to small villages impacted by the war. Tony and Valentina were kind and patient as they let me and Vlad help in the kitchen. Their son, Andrey, invited us to his home for lunch and then took us on a tour of his farm. I was invited to share a message at their church prayer meeting. It was an honor, and thanks to Lyubomir, who translated, made it sound even better in his translation! We did finally get to bed before midnight!
