Days 1-3
Met up with Jason Stout Friday morning to pack boxes of protective gear. Big thanks to Jason for helping schlep boxes into the airport. Flights were smooth: no delays and no lost luggage!
Lance Foster and Alen Ruznić picked me up at KRK. Huge thanks to Lance and Alen for the Airport shuttle and box transport. Checked into to Liv’Inn in Krakow for old times sake. My heart was saddened when Rick Schroedter wasn’t there to greet me at the door! Great dinner and catch up with Lance, Marcee Ballantyne Foster, Alen and Ania.
Full house at church on Sunday and then an absolutely wonderful lunch prepared by Marcee, her beautiful daughters and Alen and shared with many new Ukranian Friends. As I walked back to the hotel, Sunday night, I reflected on how God loves his children, especially in times of tragedy. I was immensely grateful for all my new friends and their examples of strength even when their lives have been turned upside down.
